On the cold morning of February 18, 1947, one of the Pennsylvania Railroad’s premier passenger trains, the Red Arrow, derailed at Bennington Curve outside Altoona, Pennsylvania. Twenty-four people were killed, more than one hundred were injured, and the wreck quickly became one of the most significant steam-era railroad disasters in American history.

For decades, the explanation seemed simple: a train going too fast into a curve. But was it really that simple?

In this feature-length documentary, we reopen the case. Working alongside the @RailroadCity Railroaders Memorial Museum in Altoona, we dive into original archives, engineering reports, and witness accounts - then hike into the remote mountain crash site itself to examine the terrain where the disaster unfolded.

Using original plans, forensic research, and hand-crafted digital models, we recreate the wreck for the first time using Unreal Engine 5 - built entirely by professional modelers and animators, with no AI-generated imagery - to understand how each locomotive and car actually behaved in the final seconds before derailment.

This is not just the story of a train wreck. It’s the story of speed, judgment, physics, and the narrow margin between control and catastrophe.
