In this episode of Money Matters, I sit down with 26-year-old Abhishek Kumar Jha, who moved from Muzaffarpur, Bihar, to Bengaluru to build a career in banking. Earning a salary of ₹35,651, Abhishek managed his mother’s extensive treatments through corporate health insurance, avoided falling into debt traps, and currently maintains a strict zero-debt life.

I break down his monthly expenses of ₹26,000 and give him a concrete, realistic financial playbook. We map out why a Liquid Fund SIP is better than his current RD for an emergency fund, how to split his ₹6,500 surplus into Nifty 50, Flexi Cap, and Small Cap mutual funds to project an ₹8.9 Crore corpus over 30 years, and how he can guilt-free use his upcoming June appraisal to fund his travel and lifestyle desires. Most importantly, we talk about why investing won't make you rich at a lower income scale - expanding your skill set and utilizing AI to double your primary income is your truest path to wealth.
