The Sydney School of Arms & Tasmanian Academy of Swordsmanships are dedicated to the study and practice of European swordsmanship as a martial art. We teach systems, principles and techniques drawn from actual fencing manuals written between the 13th and 18th centuries, and use a mix of historical replicas and modern fencing and martial arts equipment to practice swordsmanship as a practical fighting art. At Stoccata we teach a variety of styles and weapons, including broadsword, longsword, sword and buckler, quarterstaff, rapier, smallsword and sabre.
